Moving On

We had graduation at Southern Virginia University this past Thursday, and as usual, it was a wonderful experience. Despite the headliner we had speaking, a student speaker stole the show with a dynamic, heartfelt, and powerful speech that moved everyone. It's always exciting to see students succeed and move on, some to jobs, some to grad school, but almost always to better things. I always feel happy to have played some part in their education, their advancement to that point. Of the approximately 118 graduates, I taught almost fifty of them in at least one course. Such wonderful students here. This school has so much potential. How long until it is fully realized?
