McDonald's has an advertisement for a new product: Chicken McBites. One of the descriptions, which is clearly meant to entice us to go get some right now, refers to the them as "creamy bites of chicken." Chicken, a solid meat product (or so it should be) should never be described as creamy. What does this suggest about the product? To be fair, the pictures of the bites make them look like solid chunks of chicken. However, the following list of ingredients takes it a little too far from the chicken I prefer to put into my body:
"Chicken breast chunks with rib meat, water, maltodextrin, modified rice starch, yeast extract, sodium phosphates, salt, modified tapioca starch, onion powder, garlic powder, sugar, spices, carrageenan, natural (botanical and animal source) and artificial flavors, chicken broth, citric acid, spice extractive, gum arabic, lactic acid, chicken fat.
Yummy!
