First, the obvious: How many justices does President Obama have on SCOTUS? Take all the time you need. Second, the justices are supposed to be non-partisan, interpreting the Constitution without prejudice. They are not supposed to vote along party lines. So how is Obama trashing the document which SCOTUS has ultimately determined supports the ACA, including the health mandate? Finally, huh? Can you give me some detailed examples and textual support (from the Constitution) that proves the president is trashing it?

I absolutely loved hearing this because it makes Republicans sound like idiots, which they are not. Republicans absolutely do not want the government to offer healthcare, which would create more choice and competition. The mandate does not eliminate those things; it simply makes healthcare more affordable, and it will continue to keep costs down by ensuring that everyone pays their share and does not place the burden of their own healthcare on everyone else, while they themselves pay nothing.
Eric Cantor on FOXNEWS: “Obamacare will preclude Americans from getting the healthcare they [desire].” Huh? Has he read the ACA? The ACA does not remove choice. The entire healthcare system as we know it today will remain largely unchanged as far as how we access and choose our healthcare. It is this kind of vitriol that has hurt Americans’ perception of the ACA because most of us are too lazy to read the facts.
Deval Patrick (MA governor) on MSNBC referred to the ACA as an example of helping people help themselves. This is spot on. Rather than making everyone else pay for the healthcare of those people who refuse to pay or cannot afford to pay because their isn’t an option for them, the ACA provides healthcare for a greater number of poorer uninsured Americans and forces those who can afford it to buy their own. Isn’t that what Republicans want? Aren’t they always talking about not giving people free rides? Don’t they always say that people need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and stop being a drain on society? Well, I’ve got news for you. Every time someone without health insurance receives healthcare, who do you think ends up paying for it? You do. That’s one major reason that premiums go up. In other words, you are being robbed. So if someone without health insurance has appendicitis and needs emergency surgery, who will ultimately pay the nearly $20,000.00 worth of medical bills? And there are a lot of these people out there: accident victims, gun shot victims, heart attack victims, etc. So if you are a Republican, apparently you cannot help but contradict yourself.
