Diamond is Forever

Watching the American Idol finale, and I have enjoyed the usual cameos of big time singers/musicians. My favorite of the night, Mr. Neil Diamond. The man is 71 years old, and though he looks good for his age, he is clearly well on in years and left Leah Marie and me wondering who are the next generation of great singers/songwriters? There is no other Neil Diamond. There is no other Billy Joel. There is no other Elton John. Etc. When these great artists, who have far less ahead of them than behind them, leave us, they will leave the music world with a large void.
