The Generic Republican

The other night John Stewart did a segment on how "generic" Mitt Romney has made himself of late. I recommend it (from either Tuesday or Wednesday night's show). What added to the humor was what I heard on NPR this morning: a Mitt Romney sound byte wherein he explained how he was going to create jobs. He said the following, almost word for word: "I have met with some economists, and if we do these things---and I have a lot of other stuff, too---we will create 12,000,000 new American jobs." If a student turned in an essay with that thesis, he or she would have a hard time earning a passing grade. Can you be any more abstract? What things? What stuff? Good night!
