"After much shaking of the tree got something out of USDA, which is they want
this letter from you.
'They have requested a signed letter from the borrower detailing exactly why
they have decided to purchase this particular home even though it is in a
flood zone. Example: location of the property such as proximity to needed
medical facilities or family and or employment.'
"If you could get me a letter signed by you saying why the house is perfect
and close to your employment. I will get it to them."
To say this is frustrating doesn't even begin to explain how we feel. Why? Well, aside from the obvious, Leah Marie had talked to a USDA representative long before we finally submitted all the loan app stuff to our broker, and that rep had suggested we do this very thing. So Leah Marie typed up a letter just like this to include with all the paper work. Soooooo . . .
